Bofons were underground receipt-notes of OUN and UPA. They served as acknowledgements for donations and as a visual communication tool. The reverse bears a stamp with fields for the amount in karbovanets and the note “na B.F.” meaning “for the combat fund”. Khasevych’s imagery boosted morale, shaped the visual language of resistance and today stands among the foremost works of underground graphic art. Most print runs were destroyed by MGB raids and through hard field use.
